Metro Information:

If you are in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area, it is recommended that you take the Metro and use the Blue Line to the Arlington Cemetery station. The Memorial is located two city blocks from the station.

Driving Directions:

From Western Maryland (Montgomery and Frederick Counties): Take I-495 south across the American Legion Bridge to Exit 43 George Washington Parkway east toward Washington, DC. Follow the GW Parkway to the exit for Arlington National Cemetery. At the stop sign, make a left onto Memorial Drive and the cemetery guards will direct you from there.

From Western Virginia (Northern Fairfax and Loudoun Counties): Take I-495 north toward the American Legion Bridge to Exit 43 George Washington Parkway east toward Washington, DC. Follow the GW Parkway to the exit for Arlington National Cemetery. At the stop sign, make a left onto Memorial Drive and the cemetery guards will direct you from there.

From Washington, DC: Cross the 14th Street Bridge and follow I-395 south to Exit 8B (Route 110) north toward Rosslyn. Take the exit for Arlington Cemetery. At the stop sign, make a left onto Memorial Drive and the cemetery guards will direct you from there.

From Northern Maryland (Northern Prince George’s County and Baltimore): Take I-295 south toward Washington, DC. Take the exit for Route 50 toward Washington, DC. Route 50 will become New York Avenue. Continue on NY Avenue. Once you cross New Jersey Avenue look for the signs for 395 south, you will need to make a left off of New York Avenue toward the exit for 395 south. Then follow the signs to 395 south. Once you are on 395 south, take it to the Exit 8B (Route 110) north toward Rosslyn. Take the exit for Arlington Cemetery. At the stop sign, make a left onto Memorial Drive and the cemetery guards will direct you from there.

From Southern Maryland (Southern Prince George’s and Charles Counties): Take I-295 north toward Washington, DC. Take the exit for Pennsylvania Avenue west toward Washington, DC. Stay to the right as you cross the Sousa Bridge and exit onto I-395 south. Once on I-395 south, travel to Exit 8B (Route 110) north toward Rosslyn. Take the exit for Arlington Cemetery. At the stop sign, make a left onto Memorial Drive and the cemetery guards will direct you from there.

From Southern Virginia (Southern Fairfax and Prince William Counties): From I-495 take I-395 North toward Washington, DC. Take Exit 8B, Pentagon/Arlington Cemetery/Rosslyn. Take the exit for Pentagon North Parking. Veer right at the stop sign and merge onto Route 110. Take the exit for Arlington Cemetery. At the stop sign, make a left onto Memorial Drive and the cemetery guards will direct you from there.
